Since 2006, she has been working as a faculty member at Dokuz Eylul University Oncology Institute, Department of Basic Oncology. She has graduated from Dokuz Eylul University Faculty of Medicine in 1995. In 2004, she has completed her career education at Dokuz Eylul University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Clinical Biochemistry. Later, in 2011, she has completed her doctorate in Dokuz Eylul University Oncology Institute, Basic Oncology. She became Associate Professor of Biochemistry in 2011. She has been carrying out in-vitro and in-vivo experimental and clinical oncological studies on breast, lung and prostate cancer, especially on neuroblastoma and cisplatin ototoxicity. She has directed 3 master’s and 2 doctoral theses in the field of Basic Oncology. She has been carrying out molecular oncological studies on cell death and its mechanisms, drug resistance and metastasis in cancer.
